This page provides guidance on some key features that will help you to get the most out of the Right Decision Service web and mobile apps.

About Right Decision Service apps and websites

The Right Decision Service platform delivers content simultaneously as websites and downloadable mobile apps. This means that you can access information through online and offline routes.  Mobile apps are often built as "mega-apps" - i.e. containers which hold multiple toolkits. Each toolkit can be downloaded separately. This means that users can select toolkits for topics relevant to their needs, and hold them on their smartphone or tablet, all accessible from the same mega-app.

How do I download multiple toolkits within a mega-app?

At point of first downloading the mega-app

When you first download a mega-app you will see a list of available toolkits. Tick all those you wish to download at that point.

From within a toolkit

Click on the burger menu (5 horizontal bars) in the top right corner.

This opens up a panel with a green cloud bottom right.

Click on the green cloud to see a list of available toolkits.

Select the toolkits you want to access.

How do I move between toolkits in a mega-app?

Within any toolkit,  click on the burger menu (5 horizontal bars) in the top right corner.

This opens up a panel with a list of all the toolkits you have downloaded. Select the toolkit you want to access.

How do I search the website version of a toolkit?

The Search box top right allows you to enter search terms.

The results list presents a list of pages which contain your terms.

Click on the page of interest to find the content containing your term.

Note that:

  • On the web, search works across ALL toolkits within a mega-app, not just the toolkit you are using at any one time. So make sure that you select pages from your toolkit within the search results output.
  • Search does not take you to the exact location of your term on each page. So you may need to use “CTRL-F” to locate your search term on the page you select from the results list.
  • If you enter multiple terms in the Search box, they are combined automatically by “OR”, not “AND”. So you will retrieve pages containing ANY of the search terms.

How do I search the mobile app version of a toolkit?

The magnifying glass icon in the top menu opens up the Search function.

The output presents a list of pages which contain your terms.

Click on the page of interest to find the content containing your terms.

Note that:

  • On the mobile app, search works across EACH INDIVIDUAL toolkit within a mega-app. This is different from the web version, where search works across all toolkits.
  • Search does not take you to the exact location of your term on each page. So you may need to scroll to locate your search term on the page you select from the results list.
  • If you enter multiple terms in the Search box, they are combined automatically by “OR”, not “AND”. So you will retrieve pages containing ANY of the search terms.

Can I bookmark a page (i.e. create Favourites)?

Yes. On the mobile app version of a toolkit, click on the three dots at the foot of any page. This opens up a menu with three icons. Use the blue drawing pin icon to bookmark a page.

You can access all your bookmarked pages by clicking on the burger menu (5 horizontal bars) in the top right corner of any toolkit.

A panel opens showing your bookmarked pages under the heading “Pins/Notes” at the foot of the list, highlighted with a blue dot.
